New York City is a crazy, magical place filled with beautiful and diverse venues to fit any couple’s dream. Incredible venues abound in Manhattan and Brooklyn alone, each with different perks and services. From unbelievable skyline views to globally-acclaimed dining, here are our favorite venues in NYC.

Best Open-Air Venues

620 Loft and Garden

620 Loft and Garden is in Rockefeller Center on the beautiful and historic Fifth Avenue. This indoor/outdoor lofted space features a historic manicured garden, sparkling reflective pool, and tasteful fountain, all overlooking St Patrick’s Cathedral and the dramatic cityscape. It is fully customizable, and the indoor space boasts beautiful natural light in the day and floods with city lights at night. Many brides have said it is worth the cost, due to its perfect location, iconic views, and wonderfully helpful staff. At your wedding of up to 150 guests, using 620 Loft and Garden as your dream venue will blow them all away.

Tribeca Rooftop

The Tribeca Rooftop has so many amazing qualities, it’s hard to pick our favorites! Whether it be the expansive rooftop terrace for your ceremony or outdoor party, the huge customizable interior event space with soaring ceilings, or the 25 ft glass-enclosed atrium, Tribeca Rooftop is a stunning venue. It’s located in the heart of Tribeca, one of NYC’s coolest neighborhoods, and looks out over the Freedom Tower, downtown Manhattan, and the Hudson River and NJ skyline. The sunsets here are breathtaking, so make sure to get out your cameras and remember the moment with your new spouse!

Best Big Guest List Venues

Ellis Island

Did you know you could rent Ellis Island, one of the most famous and historic immigration centers in the world? The Renaissance Revival-style building was built in 1900 and sits on an island off the coast of the city. View the Manhattan skyline from afar as your private ferry sails you to your event, and celebrate your wedding with grandeur on Ellis Island. Have your ceremony outside as the sun sets, with mind-blowing backdrop options like the Statue of Liberty, the Hudson River, or downtown Manhattan. If it’s warmer, mingle with your guests outside on the grounds with hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. Then make your way through the wondrous and historical immigration center, beautifully decorated to your tastes, and sit down to a fantastic dinner with 1,200 of your closest friends.

World Yacht

Want a wedding on the water, but still want to be in the city? World Yacht will make these dreams come true with ease, with many ships to choose from which can accommodate up to 600 guests. Their vessels can reflect any unique aesthetic you want, and their dedicated staff will help you plan the nautical nuptials of your dreams in New York City. The ships are available to host your wedding celebrations in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut. All of their routes provide phenomenal views and perfect picturesque backdrops for your wedding. Whether you use one of their large decks, floating rooftops, or beautiful interior spaces, World Yacht will cultivate a special environment to host the most special day of your life.

Best High-Rise Venues

Located on the 18th floor of the Gramercy Park Hotel is the famous and coveted Gramercy Terrace. The Terrace is composed of interior salons filled with 20th-century art and lush exterior gardens that wrap around the rooftop. Its fully weatherized retractable glass enclosure provides unparalleled views of Manhattan and allows for beautiful New York Weddings all year round. This stunning space can accommodate up to 120 guests for a seated dinner with dancing or up to 160 guests for a cocktail-style reception. From your ceremony itself to your post-reception brunch, the Gramercy Park Hotel staff will assist you with anything you and your guests need during the process — whether relaxing in your vivid and luxurious rooms, or strolling through NYC’s only private park.

Best Intimate Venues

The Foundry

The Foundry is a 19th century restored industrial building in Long Island City with beautiful exterior and interior features, all perfect for your dream intimate wedding! They offer a lush outdoor courtyard with ivy-covered walls, a rooftop terrace with Manhattan skyline views, and an indoor greenhouse. Exchange vows in the brick-walled indoor greenhouse as light pours in through the spectacular glass ceiling. Then mingle and sip cocktails on the Terrace, where your party can enjoy great views of the Manhattan skyline and Queensboro Bridge. Host your reception in the plant-filled courtyard, which can be used as open-air or tented. The maximum capacity is 180 guests, but the venue would be better suited for a smaller event, filled with love and connection in a beautiful location.

Crosby Street Hotel

The Crosby Street Hotel is situated on a quiet cobbled street in New York’s vibrant SoHo neighborhood. We chose this venue because its Kit Kemp hotel aesthetic, featuring all her unique patterns and designs, breathes such life and fun into any space. There are 86 bedrooms and suites over 11 floors, each with different and beautiful furnishings and patterns for your wedding party.  Your small group will be attended to by great staff, and have access to exclusive hotel amenities during your stay should you book rooms!

Best Affordable Venues

Dumbo Loft

Dumbo Loft is a totally personalizable space in an amazing location. What more can you ask for? Boasting beautiful wood beams and flooring, high ceilings, and exposed brick, you can do anything with the 3,000 square feet of gorgeous space. The Loft’s large windows overlook the Dumbo Triangle Park, and it is located next to the Manhattan Bridge. Many couples have loved the space and had free range of decoration and catering options. It is also reasonably priced and in a super trendy location!

Gran Electrica

Also in Brooklyn lies this amazing Mexican restaurant that will work perfectly for your wedding! Gran Electrica’s beautiful interior dining rooms and outdoor garden space can be mobilized to fit your vision. Above all, the cocktails and food are truly fantastic. They offer a selection of delicious Mexican style canapés and meals, cocktails that incorporate Mexican flavors with seasonal ingredients, and an impressive tequila and mezcal list. Yours will be a wedding with eclectic decor and upscale Mexican food, great for an intimate, unique, and low-key wedding (especially one with yummy cocktails).

Best Restaurant Venues

Bryant Park Grill

Parisian-style dining with an American menu, situated behind the landmark New York Public Library, Bryant Park Grill serves as an extraordinary setting for your wedding. The space itself is impeccable; it needs no extra adornments. The tent area, where you may host your ceremony and cocktail hour, is gorgeous and will give your guests spectacular views of the city, Bryant Park, and the skyline. The Grill has a warm and sophisticated feeling to it, superior to all the sterile wedding venues you may have seen before. The location is extremely convenient, at the heart of Manhattan, and easily accessible. But most significantly, the food is remarkable. Since Bryant Park Grill is not a traditional wedding venue, the food is wholly better than most other venues. Enjoy a festive wedding under the heated holiday tent in the winter, or seasonal patio and roof party for a magical summer evening. Indoor and outdoor experiences for your guests make a vacation within the city, an unexpected oasis at the center of New York.

The River Café

Located in the beautiful Brooklyn Bridge Park on the East River, The River Café is a New York City staple. From their glass-enclosed pavilion to their elegant outdoor space, couples have a number of facilities to choose from, all with breathtaking views of the city. This waterfront location provides tons of ideal photo backgrounds for couples and their guests and can cater to parties of all sizes. Not only is it beautiful, but its impressive Michelin star will certainly have your guests talking about the food for ages. They also uniquely offer an in-house florist who can craft all floral arrangements and a talented pastry team to bake an incredible, one-of-a-kind wedding cake that will be equally delicious and visually appealing to you and your party!
